NxServer is a fast and reliable graphical interface to Linux

Here is the instructions for setting up your linux server; even with downloads it should take less than 30 minutes. "install_nxserver.txt".


Of course, you don't need this is a kindly system manager has already setup it up for you :-)

To use nx server you will need a client on your local computer. Available clients are for the following OSs: Windows, Linux, Mac OSX and Solaris. They can be down loaded from the following site: "http://www.nomachine.com/".

Here is a local copy from the windows O.S. "nxclient-3.1.0-6.exe".

Once you have downloaded it and installed it run the "Nx Connection Wizard". Here are the screen shots from my setup, yours will be simalar:







Finally, you just double click on the desktop icon, for the nxclient, and your ready to connect graphically to your Linux server - free and fast, what could be better...
